Preamble

From the Global AI Professional Standards Council

The Global AI Professional Standards Council of the Artificial Intelligence Board of America (ARTiBA) presents this Code of Ethics as the foundational expression of our commitment to advancing responsible, ethical, and globally relevant AI professionalism.

As the world enters a transformative AI-driven era, the role of AI professionals extends far beyond technical execution. It now encompasses ethical stewardship, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the safeguarding of public interest. This Code provides a framework for the conduct expected of ARTiBA-certified professionals, guiding them to uphold integrity, objectivity, transparency, and continuous professional excellence.

The Council affirms that this Code is not merely a set of rules, but a shared responsibility — to ourselves, to the organizations and societies we serve, and to the future of Artificial Intelligence.
